You don't need to season it, but it's always a good idea to spray it with a cooking oil after you dump out the coal while it's hot. This will prevent rust build up.

Can I store this outside?

You can store it outside, but this will shorten it's life span. We recommend storing it out of the elements to ensure it has a nice long life.

How much does the Chimney weigh?

This chimney has significantly thicker steel than other chimney starters so it weighs 6lbs, without charcoal.
