In this episode I cook up super easy buffalo wings. This simple recipe makes the perfect wings every time!
- Full chicken wings
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- Your favorite hot sauce
- Take the full chicken wings and cut them in between the joints to separate them into drumettes and wingettes.
- With this method we want to put the wings in the cold oil while you turn on the deep fryer.
- Allow the wings to gently cook in the oil as it comes up to temperature. This technique mimics a double fry, resulting in extra crispy wings.
- While the wings are coming up to temperature, periodically shake the fryer basket or stir the wings in the pot to ensure they don't stick together.
- Fry the wings for approximately 15 minutes or until they turn golden brown and become crispy. Adjust the cooking time if needed, depending on the size and thickness of the wings.
- Once the wings are cooked, carefully remove them from the oil
- Transfer the fried wings to a large bowl and toss them with your favorite hot sauce, coating them evenly.
